Fantasy Imperium is an Interactive Storyteling Game of Historical Fantasy. 
Unlike a Roleplaying Game, Fantasy Imperium - ISG is a type of game where there is a heavy emphasis on telling a story, as opposed to simply running an ongoing collaborate narrative. Fantasy Imperium - An Interactive Storytelling Game will use advanced storytelling techniques to create an entire story, often to be told in a single gaming session. ISG - Fantasy Imperium will use a system of scripted scenes written by the Storyteller to create the plot, while the characters will react to the events of the plot and direct how it will play out. 

Playing Fantasy Imperium - ISG  is like playing the part of an actor in a story, and also like playing a wargame!
